From 2NEWS Meteorologist Julie Chin:

Dangerous flooding is ongoing in parts of the area this morning. Radar is estimating as much as 8-12' of rain has fallen in parts of McIntosh, Haskell, Pittsburg and Sequoyah counties. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for these locations until 9:30am.


A FLOOD WATCH covers all of Green Country through noon.

The rain will push out of the area this morning, and we should see a little sunshine by this afternoon.  Our next front will move in late Friday night and Saturday with a chance for rain.


Today: Heavy rain in the morning.  A slight chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Expect some clearing in the afternoon. Metro rain chance: 60%
Wind: S/SW 10-15mph
Afternoon High: 84.

Friday: 
Partly cloudy, hot and humid.  Isolated showers or storms late.  Metro rain chance:   20%.
Morning Low:  74.
Afternoon High:  92.
