Polls open Tuesday for Copan, Caney Valley and Collinsville school board elections

Residents of the Copan, Caney Valley and Collinsville Public School Districts will participate in the Board of Education elections set for Tuesday.

In Washington County, Tim Bryant of Dewey is vying with incumbent Kent A. Jeter for Copan Public Schools Board Office No. 5 and Barnsdall resident Andy Young, with incumbent Sue P. Woods for Caney Valley Public Schools Board Office No. 5.

According to the Washington County Board of Elections, only residents of these school districts may vote in the elections.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Washington County Board of Elections Secretary Yvonne House said voters desiring to be processed early should vote during the mid-morning or mid-afternoon hours.
