Bartlesville High School seniors Brittnee Bossley and Cylas Brooks have been named the Elks Students of the Month for February.
Brittnee is the daughter of Stephanie and Jason Bossley. She has been a member of the National Honor Society throughout her high school career. The president of the BHS varsity pom squad, she is a spirit committee member as well. Brittnee is a member of the BHS student council and is a former Spanish Club member. She was a member of the art club at the Bartlesville Mid-High School.
Brittnee has served the last three years as an assistant at the Bartlesville Summer Camp. As a sophomore, she was the secretary of the National Honor Society at the Mid-High.
Cylas is the son of Edgar and Laura Brooks, and the brother of Lyric Brooks. He serves as the co-president of the BHS Choir and is a member of the BHS Jazz Choir as well. Cylas models for John CasaBlanca and is involved in dance, also. He was part of the cast for the BHS production of “Footloose” last spring.
A member of the BHS honor roll, Cylas is a previous member of the marching, concert and jazz band programs. He serves as a D.J. at the Bartlesville Youth Canteen.
Elks Students of the Month – all of whom are seniors – are chosen by a committee of Bartlesville High School teachers. They must be of high moral character, have initiative, show leadership capabilities, be good students, and be active and interested in their school and community.
One boy and one girl are selected each month from October through May.
